Well my trip to Granite Lake in Ontario, Canada flew by! It's crazy how the days pass when you have no concept of time or anything. No phones, no internet, no clocks, no nothing. It was peaceful and adventurous but for sure thankful to be home again! I am a city girl, not made for long outdoor excursions!!
Thought I might put a few photos up to share. When you've seen one fish you've seen them all but it was so incredible the amount of fish we caught. One right after another. We found this little spot that we quickly dubbed "The Grocery Store" because we knew we could catch fish for lunch there without even really trying. Ben and I thought it would be fun to take a picture with every fish we caught- now I have about 100 fish pictures from that spot!
Also, if any of you have ever been Northern fishing in Minnesota, you wouldn't believe how insane they are in Canada. They follow your lure right up to the boat or jump out of the water when you cast. Very aggressive! At one point I was reeling in my cast and I lifted my lure out of the water and looked down, there was a northern right there by the boat! I yelled, "Hey Ben there's a fish right there!" He's laughing, "Put your line back in!!" and BOOM the little fishy took it!! Pretty fun!
Ben's big northern!
Cool pattern on the lake from the water falls
